The face of an absence

Dim is the central avatar of the project: an anonymous black-hooded figure wearing a smooth white mask marked by narrow eye slits and asymmetrical black tears.

He sits somewhere between mascot, witness, ghost, and authorial stand-in. Dim does not explain himself directly; he observes, reacts, absorbs, and turns emotional residue into music, images, prompts, and fragments of identity.

Dim represents the melancholic core of the work: minimalist, monochrome, slightly absurd, sometimes tender, sometimes severe. The mask keeps him faceless, but not empty. It makes him recognizable by absence.

Beverly Yards

Expensive sadness. Controlled damage.

Beverly Yards, a fictional four-piece alternative band, standing together with their instruments
Band study01 / 04

Beverly Yards is a fictional shoegaze/post-punk band built on elegant damage, emotional pressure, and chosen-family tension.

Elegant damage in four parts.

Beverly Yards is a fictional alternative band built around shoegaze, post-punk, indie rock, dream pop, and cinematic melancholy. Their world is elegant but slightly damaged: black denim, silver hardware, coastal roads, brutalist buildings, rehearsal rooms, night buses, expensive sadness, and controlled collapse.

The band is not designed as a clean fantasy. Each member carries pressure, history, talent, flaws, and emotional debt. Together, they form a chosen family held together by music, exhaustion, loyalty, cigarettes, private jokes, and the need to keep making noise before everything gets too clear.

Beverly Yards

Raine

Raine is Beverly Yards' frontwoman: elegant, disciplined, emotionally loaded, and impossible to remove from the center.

Raine is the lead singer and guitarist of Beverly Yards. She is the true frontwoman: polished, talented, disciplined, and difficult to ignore. Her presence carries the weight of someone trained to be exceptional, but not necessarily allowed to be free.

Raised around image, ambition, and expectation, Raine performs with elegance under pressure. Her voice and guitar work hold the band's emotional center, even when she pretends not to. She can be graceful, severe, funny, competitive, and quietly wounded.

She is not fragile in a decorative way; she is fragile like something that has learned how to stand upright in public.

Ash

Ash is the band's silent gravitational pull: a brilliant guitarist, wounded aristocrat, and archivist of decay.

Ash is Beverly Yards' shadow-front: guitarist, singer, and silent emotional weight. He comes from wealth, distance, old expectations, and private damage. He is a genius musician who often acts like caring is beneath him, even when the room knows better.

His role in the band is magnetic but indirect. He does not need to dominate to affect everything. He is the archivist of decay: the one who remembers what rots, what survives, and what nobody says out loud. His guitar playing is precise, instinctive, and almost unfair.

His silence is not emptiness; it is pressure under glass.

Beverly Yards

Nova

Nova is the band's compact voltage: bass, keys, sharp instinct, and restless devotion.

Nova is Beverly Yards' bassist, keyboardist, and occasional vocalist. Younger than the others, she carries intensity in a compact frame: sharp, nocturnal, observant, and often more capable than people expect. Her style blends alternative music culture with Japanese streetwear influence, giving her a visual identity that feels precise and restless.

Nova sees Raine as an ideal, almost an older-sister figure, but that admiration is not passive. It gives her direction. She is trained, clever, emotionally tangled, and sometimes too ready to disappear into someone else's gravity. Musically, she gives Beverly Yards its low-end pulse, synth color, and nervous electricity.

She carries what does not get said out loud and turns it into frequency.

Vesper

Vesper is Beverly Yards' pulse: drummer, sound designer, repair instinct, and human stabilizer.

Vesper is the drummer, sound-design brain, and technical anchor of Beverly Yards. He is the warmest physical presence in the band: kinetic, funny, resilient, and more sensitive than he usually admits. If Raine holds the center, Ash bends the air, and Nova charges the room, Vesper keeps the whole machine from falling apart.

He understands rhythm, gear, space, repair, and momentum. He is the one who can make chaos usable. His energy is human, direct, and slightly volatile, especially when the night gets long. Beneath the jokes and movement, there is someone who learned to turn clumsiness, punishment, and pressure into timing.

He makes chaos usable—and makes sure the room still has a heartbeat.
